Happy 2024 International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction.

Happy 2024 International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction.

EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION FOR A RESILIENT FUTURE.
If we adjudge media by the much sad news about happenings around mankind, we would prefer to keep away from whatever can mal human health. When we remember the advantages it offers mankind, we'd keep it close. This is particularly essential at this critical time to address emerging social, environmental, or economic issues.
Unlike before, nations don't have it as rosy as it used to be. 21 Centuries has refused to keep it jolly with mankind as the issues of environmental mismanagement of the past centuries continue to set the present generation's teeth on edge with the multiplicity of hazards, including hurricanes, floods, cyclones, tornadoes, windstorms, and climate change that continue to exploit human vulnerability.
While many of these originate from the planet Earth's formation, land degradation,, and extreme climate change effects continue to push mankind to the brink.
We would all agree that the days when farmers cultivate with their eyes closed and yet reap bountifully are gone. Inadequate rainfall, unpredictable weather, drought, flood, and bush burning, among other ugly incidences, keep people on their toes.
Understandably, It isn't the fault of man to seek solutions to these issues after all. However, it is a crime to subscribe to solutions heinous to human and environmental health.
It is no longer news that many of the foods we eat these days are left with poisons unintentionally. This has killed people in thousands while millions dying slowly.
Good news!
It is scientifically proven that organic farming is not just a succor to human health; it keeps the natural environment self-regenerative.
Consequently, engaging and promoting organic food commodities without compromising for profit reasons is a step to avert (Epidemic/ Pandemic) disaster for the present and future generations.
In what way should you be concerned about this issue?
Do you eat or produce food?
Do you take, administer, prescribe, or produce drugs?
You are a law or policy maker?
You are a law enforcer?
A tech expert?
Scientist?
What have you!
As long as you live on land resources, you ain't excluded.
2024 International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction is here again to remind us that: We can avert the pandemic together.
Now is the time to renege on actions that poison mankind or pollute the environment.
I see you.
Sincerely,
Adebukola Margaret
