SDGS 2030,
AND NIGERIA SCORECARD
Development is
considered an inalienable right of everyone across the world. In 2015, global
leaders agreed that all nations of the world should develop in economic,
social, and environmental spheres of human endeavors to secure peace and
prosperity for the people and protect the planet through partnership and other
sound mechanisms. Sustainable Development Goals is 7 years to end, where are we
as a country? Reports show that Nigeria is: -146 out of 166 positions in the
attainment of the goals -scored 54.3% -among the 20 least countries to achieve the goals - has 13 goals in redline - reached 12 goals overall.
As part of my commitment
to the global agenda, today 14th September 2023, I participated in the
People's Assembly and Press Conference organized by the Nigeria Network of NGOs to
appraise the SDGs in Nigeria, and also examine the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on
the Achievement of SDGs in Nigeria.
Distinguished,
🍎Do you
know that SDGs are targeted at making life beautiful for you in all
ramifications?
🍎Do you
know that the government of Nigeria is not doing enough to achieve this goal?
🍎Do you
know that you too have roles to play if Nigeria is to rank high in the agenda?
To help the government
of the day on what and where to work, we unanimously made some cogent
demands to scale the project and bring the country to the frontline of the achievement of the goals.
Would you like to add
your voice to the demand? You can state it in the comment section, private chat with me, or visit our website www.wholeplanetinitiative.org. or mail
