Whole Planet Initiative Commitment to
Sustainable Development Goals Agenda
“ ‘I have made you a
light... to the ends of the earth.’ ”
The last 5 days have been
very rigorous with the facilitation of the Sustainable Development Goals Awareness
and Training exercise for the Office of the Special Adviser to Gov. Seyi
Makinde on Sustainable Development Goals at the ongoing NYSC Orientation Course
in Iseyin, Oyo State Nigeria. As many are quite aware, the Camp environment is
usually regimented and not rosy like our private home, and the tight schedule I
run makes it more tedious. Nonetheless, #SDGs is a project I hold so dear to my
heart. As an aspiring transnational leader, I'm motivated to promote it with
the central world leaders and the project being God's agenda for humanity is a
boost for me.
Consequently, promoting
the course is my commitment by the fact of the impact it promises to everything
and everyone God created on earth. Yesterday, Giwa Abeeblahi Kehinde Onuoha
Stanley Obialo, the newly immersed Champions, and I, Adebukola Margaret with the
authority of the NYSC Oyo State led by the coordinator made another major
landmark for #sdgs2030 as we secured a piece of land for the construction of
SDGs building in NYSC Orientation Camp, Iseyin Oyo State Nigeria. This is a big
win for SDGs Champions, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large as it is a step forward
to actualizing the goals.
It glads my heart that
the subsequent prospective champions will not struggle for a decent arena to
have their training, nor will they lack the necessary educational facilities for
their exercise. Interestingly, improving lives, developing, and protecting the
environment every place and everywhere we go is our goal, we take the lead in
actualizing #Goal4QualityEducation and #Goal8 Decent Work and economic growth
right from our training ground.

Goals are a noble agenda for man and the environment to ensure that everyone is
fulfilled irrespective of where we originate or live. Could you please be that
destiny helper that Norman Borlaug pointed out: "The destiny of world
civilization depends upon providing a decent standard of living for all
mankind."?
