"For the first time, I witnessed municipal waste stopping men and motorists to host a Match on the highway" a friend recounted! Everyone loves a clean, green, and beautiful environment where fresh air abounds. No wonder the Creator of the universe (God) planted man in the garden and embellished it with flowing rivers. 

Research has established a positive relationship between greenery and the longevity of lives of people in the past century in addition to good health and wellbeing they enjoyed. "Good old age" of man is fast becoming history as different noncommunicable diseases and ill health cut human lives at their prime. So sad, however, that man can yet do something. 

Last week, a friend recounted how motorists and pedestrians were stationed for minutes to allow debris (comprising nylons, plastics, papers, and sands) to pass before they continued their journey. Do I need to remind you that the debris was the wrappers and containers of the snacks and drinks you took and dropped anyhow, anyplace, anywhere? Do we have to continue to construct these hazards till they shrink livable space for humans in addition to the health consequences on man, animals, aquatic, and the environment? Humanity obliges pedestrians and motorists to give road to animals to pass safely, what do we call it when waste stops man and motorists on highways? 

 Dear all, there's nothing comparable to good health, and a green and livable environment. To achieve this, you, me, and all of us are stakeholders to make it happen. I therefore challenge you to dispose of your waste properly and keep our environment clean and green. 

Remember, the environment is our common home, play your part to make it livable for the present and future generations.
