Last week Friday, 14th October 2022; I participated in a day Advocacy Activity organised by Cedar for Human Welfare Initiative funded by Ford Foundation to commemorate International Day of the Girl Child. Why the girl child someone might ask! History, philosophy, ethnology and mythology of some persons relegate female and thus limit their survival, aspirations, dreams and reduces their value. While appreciating the people who believe in female child and invested in them, kudos to great women who have distinguished themselves in various stratas of life. They are testimonies to high dividends of investments in a girl child. Even at that, the rate at which the girl child abuse is increasing in our society is alarming. It blinks the future before us. These abuses could be attitudinal, behavioural, deprivation, physical or verbal. We need to shun it as much as we can to secure their future. Dear all, do you have a girl child, relation, neighbor or Patriots? You'll do yourself and humanity a great good by: 👉 Protecting them from physical, mental and sexual abuse. 👉 Reprimand them when they do wrongs to avoid future occurrence. 👉 Guide them through their dreams and aspirations. 👉 Don't expose them to immoral acts for whatever reasons. 👉 Help them to uphold moral values 👉 Take care of their (Clothing, food, shelter, educational) needs. 👉 Give them quality education. 👉 Add Yours!
