The importance of water cannot be quantified. In short, it is life. Water seems to be a common commodity having occupied 71% of the earth surface. Surprisingly, only 2.5% of it is fresh water. The said 2.5% is diminishing faster given population explosion and water contamination. What does it suppose to mean? By implications, water shortage crisis will be widespread. At the moment, 1.1 billion people globally don't have access to good water. 2.1billion have water scarcity at least a month in a year. By 2025, 2.7billion population will face acute water scarcity. While climate change continues to exacerbate the problem, pollution of various kinds increases water risk. The occasion of 2022 World Water Day presents an opportunity for a deep reflection of planet reservation for human in the face of human abusing environmental resources. WHAT DO WE DO? 👉We need to combat climate change by restoring ecosystem, protect our environment and switch to green and also finance green projects. 👉We need to curb pollution of all kinds. 👉Environmental conservation is a necessity 👉3rs( reduce, reuse and recycle) water use must be activated. 🌍 Doing this, we are a step forward in safeguarding ourselves, the environment and the future.
