Mother Wangari Maathai asserts and I quote "You cannot protect the environment unless you empower people, you inform them, and you help them understand that these resources are their own, that they must protect them." Many of the policies and programmes of Government and Institutions sumasault and lack effectiveness due to inadequate awareness and orientation. Same challenge is responsible for environmental degradation that threatens biodiversity with grievous implications on human existence.

WPI is motivated by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe concern that "There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action" particularly of human-environment interactions that further informed a deep concern of our Advocacy project which aims to replace ignorance with knowledge substantial to inform a sustainable environmental management practices. 

WPI is resolute in her  commitment to reaching out to communities on climate change challenges, causes, effects and how to build resilience. Human society would be relieved of diseases if we priotise environmental sanitation. flooding is a major hazards plaguing people in Nigeria. Government and institutions efforts in policies and projects are evident but lacks effectiveness as citizens remain ignorant and uninformed. 

Whole Planet Initiative is committed to replacing ignorance with knowledge to effect a sustainable lifestyle and collective environmental responsibility to safe the present generation from impending disaster and to bequeath a safer earth planet to the future generations. 

Friday 26, March 2021 presented another opportunity to reach out to some communities in Ibadan with our digital awareness materials to enlighten the people on sustainable sanitation and flood awareness as raining season approaches. Please note that flood is not an evil until we make ourselves susceptible to its influence. 

Disaster is a bane to humanity, hence the need to collectively mitigate and prevent its occurrence. Whole Planet Initiative, we are committed to saving lives and properties of all that exist.
