Just in the first half of 2021, records of plane crash is growing unchecked. Military planes crash leading the toll.
How we got here is left to everyone to answer.
Truly you ain't a policy maker or heading a ministry or agency in Nigeria, but you are silence to the atrocities happening there. Just because your relations, fellow religion brethren or tribesmen are involved, you keep mute forgetting that the consequences would stockpile and hit when due. You could be a victim, it's a fact!
In your very little position, how do you manage it to better the lot of humanity and the environment to begin with?
Who would think a whole chief of Army staff would be a victim of Nigeria endemic failure in spite of the logistics and intelligent support allotted to him?
Year in and out, billions are allocated to the ministry to avert scenerios like this, but someone is somewhere strategizing how to get himself castles in Paris, NewYork and Dubai that he would probably not habit for days in his entire life!
Just in less than 5 months, we are loosing counts on Nigeria Armed Forces arsenal breakdown with precious lives of innocent people sinking with it!
Avoidable deaths becomes a norm just because we choose to be untruthful to ourselves.
Here we are dying in worship centres all to dupe our fellow brethren and cripple lives for selfish reasons.
It's a sin to be beautiful in the company of Nigeria men especially when the fellow is vulnerable by her economic or social status. The mess that leaves no religious leaders out. Yet we claim to love and serve God in the usual 5times rituals a day.
We daily await visa miracles to prosperous nations of the world. If they think and act like you and Nigeria leaders, would you think of them as safe destinations?
We understand these but not ready to pay the price.
Before you allow sentiments to becloud your sense of reasoning on issues of lives, fellow human safety; community and national security and prosperity, remember you'd not be exempted from the consequences either now or later.
It's never too late to ponder on those things we individually do that are abhorrent to God and humanity.
May God rest the souls of the victims and give the families, friends and relations left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
I'm Adebukola Margaret.
