Somewhere in Nigeria!

Urban sprawl and municipal waste are increasingly becoming defining features of our towns and cities.

A sense of responsibility would make us understand how we have individually failed in abusing our environment to this extent. 

Of course, you might not be a party to street dumping of collected home or office refuse, how about the candy and food wrappers you fling from your car window? The drinks bottles and cans are limitless in counting by just you!

While we daily suffer the consequences of untidy living space we parade with ego, we are also fond of renouncing the decadence to the government of the day!

Of course, I don't disbelief the opinion of government failure that normalises the abnormal but have we ever considered ourselves as critical stakeholders in the governance of our jurisdiction and country?

Come to think of it! Who suffers the implications most? 

Only if we can pounder on these challenging questions, maybe we'd begin to act right!

Conclusively, the management/governance of our environment, towns and cities is our collective responsibility. 

Hazards, epidemics and pandemics ain't respecters of anyone; not even social, economic or political status.

Hence the reason Whole Planet Initiative  is calling on everyone to act right vis-a-vis the environment. Acting as watchdog over another isn't a brutal gesture but a sustainable move to safe ourselves and safeguard our environment from unwarranted disasters.
