WHO IS TO BE BLAMED? I
Some time ago, I called a greengrocer as I used to do. Fortunately enough for me, a neighbor of mine was around and would want to buy too.
As she sighted the vegetables, she requested the grocer to go as she wasn't interested again. I bought mine since I had planned over it for dinner.
When she couldn't hold her emotions, she was forced to school me on the many silent killer agents that grocers add to their vegetables to either ripe fast, keep flies away, or keep them fresh. In
wish case, many of these items are poisons to human life.
Should I was in doubt, she set a test for me to carry out on the vegetables, and lo, I couldn't but cry for my generation.
Wait a minute!
Was I wrong to desire a healthy life like our forefathers? They lived to their good old age yet with limited to non terminal diseases like diabetes, HBP, cancer, and co that this century parades!
Was I wrong to have approached an open market to buy my basic needs.
Can we all be lawyers, doctors, engineers, farmers, what have you!
When did division of labor become a crime in ensuring and sustaining a productive, peaceful and liveable world?
How have we failed to be our brothers keeper in our various professional fields just for our greedy ego?
